동숭갤러리는 1975년 개관하여 전시 기획 화랑으로 발전해 왔으며, 국내외 유명작가들의 초대전을 개최, 또한 해외 아트페어(파리 FIAC, 시카고 아트 엑스포, 도쿄 아트 엑스포 등)에 참가하여 왔습니다.
저희 갤러리는 살바도르 달리와 루피노 타마요 등 해외 거장전을 유치하여 소개한 바 있으며 한국작가로서 이중섭, 최영림, 민복진, 김구림, 이석주 등 원로 및 중견작가전 등은 물론이고 신진작가들을 발굴하여 더한층 한국미술의 발전을 위하여 노력하고 있습니다.
개관 초기부터 서울 종로구 대학로에 자리잡아 대학로 공연예술거리를 찾는 젊은 세대를 위한 순수미술 전시회를 마련하여 미래세대 미술문화의 저변확대를 위해 노력하고 있습니다.
Dong Soong Gallery opened in 1975 and has developed into an exhibition planning gallery, and it has continued to hold invitations of famous domestic and foreign artists and participated in overseas art fairs (Paris FIAC, Chicago Art Expo, Tokyo Art Expo, etc.).
Our gallery has introduced foreign masterpieces such as Salvador Dali, Lupino Tamayo, and Korean artists. We are striving to develop Korean art by discovering senior artists, such as Jung-seop Lee, Young-rim Choi, Bok-jin Min, Ku-lim Kim, Suk-joo Lee, and also young artists, too.
Since its opening, the gallery has been located in Daehak-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and is striving to expand the base of the art culture of the future generation by preparing an exhibition of pure art for the younger generation who visit the Performing Art-Street at Daehak-ro.
