동숭갤러리 SINCE 1975

첫 발표전부터 애호가들의 호평을 넘어 마니아층을 단단히 형성하고 있는 여소현 작가의 개인전 《사랑의 형상(Shape of Love)》이 10월 13일부터 28일까지 동숭갤러리에서 열린다. 이번 전시는 5년만에 열리는 8번째 개인전으로 밝고 화려한 색조와 다양한 조형적 메시지를 담아 수많은 타인과의 대화를 담아냈다. 작가는 ‘사랑의 형상’이란 주제로 얼핏 보기에도 자신감 넘치는 당당한 자신의 미술언어로 작품들을 완성했다. 그는 작품에 원시적 사고에서 근대적 낭만과 계몽적 인식을 거쳐 현대의 실존적 깨달음까지 폭넓게 담아냈다. 이번 전시회를 연 배경이 최근 코로나와 갈수록 피폐해지는 우리네 삶의 분위기를 일신하고자 하는, 시대를 살아가는 작가의 따뜻한 표현일 수 있을 것이다.
